COURSE OVERVIEW
In this subject, students will review the behavioural and technical competencies and the skills passbook in preparation for their placement activities in a Mental Health and Addictions setting (10 hours).
In this subject, students are provided with an experiential opportunity to practice emerging skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to be an effective helping professional in a professional mental health setting. Students complete a field placement in a mental health and/or addiction services agency. The application of classroom theory and supervision in an interdisciplinary agency setting assists students in their preparation to pursue a career in Mental Health and Addictions (300 hours).
