COURSE OVERVIEW

In this subject students will examine one of the main tasks an administrative health professional performs routinely; appointment scheduling, both manual and electronic. The importance of keeping the appointment book confidential is paramount. Several appointment booking styles are identified along with the advantages and disadvantages of each style. Students are provided with suggested appointment time guidelines based on the patient reason for a visit and process encounters via simulation activities.
