COURSE OVERVIEW
This course will build on Diversity and Inclusiveness. Students will explore the impact of historical and colonial processes and discrimination and racism on the health of indigenous communities. Students will learn how to adapt programs to different cultures and contexts and how to build inclusive communities.

Part 1: Illustrate knowledge of diversity and inclusiveness fundamentals
Part 2: Illustrate how historical and post-colonial policies and their impacts on Indigenous people in Canada influence health promotion action
Part 3: Demonstrate adjusting an intervention to show respect for another culture and to increase the chances for success in that particular community
Part 4: Illustrate the social, cultural and behavioural aspects of indigenous health
Part 5: Demonstrate the required skills to support communities to address racism, internalized oppression, and prejudice
