Our Program
NETC is pleased to offer online security guard training based on Ontario guidelines and provides a comprehensive program that prepares employees to create safe and secure environments while effectively serving employers, clients and the public.
This course meets the requirements set by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services for basic security guard training. Focus on the security industry, use of force theory, communication, emergency first aid and the laws and legislation that impact security guards and security operations.
Upon successful completion of the course you will be required to take a recognized first aid course equivalent to St. John Ambulance “Emergency First Aid with CPR C+ AED”. Once complete, your information will be forwarded to the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services requesting your training completion number enabling you to register and write the final Ministry test, delivered and written in your city or local area by Serco DES at their Driver Examination Centre.
You must have a training completion number from your training facility to book this test. The cost of the test is $60 plus HST. The test is a 60-question, multiple-choice format, for which a passing grade is 62%. You are allotted 75 minutes to complete the exam.
