Part 1: Describe the causes and symptoms of cognitive/intellectual impairments and the PSW role.

Part 2: Describe types of mental health illnesses/treatments plus the role of the PSW.

Part 3: Describe symptoms/treatment of acquired brain injuries plus the role of the PSW.

Part 4: Understand adaptations to individualized care techniques when assisting clients.

Part 5: Observe, document and report client responses to care.

Part 6: Apply consistency in all client caregiving tasks.

Part 7: Understand strategies for responsive behaviours and legislated requirements for recording.

Part 8: Identify suicidal behaviours and PSW responsibilities.
