COURSE OVERVIEW

Part 1: Apply principles of DIPPS*.

Part 2: Identify and report variations in client care needs.

Part 3: Identify structure, normal function, aging changes and common diseases of body systems.

Part 4: Describe concepts of health promotion, rehabilitation, barriers to functioning and respite care.

Part 5: Follow care plan for client’s dietary requirements and supportive techniques.

Part 6: Meet all client hygiene/grooming needs and preferences according to the care plan.

Part 7: Follow care plan for bowel and bladder care and use of supportive techniques.

Part 8: Assist with client mobility, transfers, positioning and exercises following the care plan.
