Overhead Crane And Rigging Safety Complete Series
40% of accidents involving cranes and rigging involve a load loss, the consequences of which are often dramatic. Operators are required to ensure the operational integrity of their equipment, to control the various operating maneuvers and to apply the best rigging practices when lifting loads. This online training covers three subjects: • Hoisting equipment (overhead traveling crane) • Safe rigging • Rigging signals
All workers who operate cranes.
Identify and describe the elements that ensure safe operation of lifting devices, including:
Basic safety concepts for cranes (components and inspection)
Basic safety concepts relating to lifting operations, including the notions of load capacity and coordination between the persons involved
Requirements for rigging (choice, inspection, appropriate use)
Crane hand signals
Course Content/ Educational Approach
Training based on high-quality, realistic 3D simulations that allow learners to clearly visualize risk situations and applicable solutions. Many interactions are included throughout the course to ensure the learners’ participation and understanding.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Evaluation: Built-in exam
Passing Score: 85%
